Well the winter season is coming to an end, there is still snow around and teeth and legs are still yet to do their winter skills course but for us we are now looking forward to the up and coming spring. For us this means that we start dusting down our kayak kit, going through the wetsuits for gorge scrambling and getting out on some rock and doing a bit of dry climbing.
Looking into spring dates we are both very excited by what we have up coming and we look forward to seeing as many of you up here enjoying the Torridon area.

Meet our e-news Guest
We would like you all to meet Karen who is based in Glasgow
Q – What do you get up to when not at work?
A – I do a lot of walking and have recently started curling, I also really enjoy exploring Scotland
Q – What hat you been up to with the guys?
A – In December I was the Introduction to Navigation course
Q – Why did you want to do the course?
A – I love being out in the hills but didn’t know how to navigate and always relied on friends. I wanted to become a bit more independent which would then allow me to explore places I wanted to go.
Q – What was the best learning point from the course?
A – It was simply that these skills can be applied to anywhere in the world, amazing!
Q – What was your favourite part of the course?
A – Right at the end I remember you (Chris) gave us a really small feature to find and left us to it with no help or guidance just with what we had learnt over the weekend. It was brilliant when we found it and even more amazing to see how small a feature you had picked for us and yet with the basic skills we navigated ourselves right to it.
Q – What have you been up to since the course?
A – I’ve been out on the hills by myself now, I’ve practiced my bearings albeit within my comfort zone but have defiantly been using a map and compass instead of letting my friends do it.
Q – What are your plans for the year?
A – Off to Glen Affric in a couple of weeks time and then Skye, just try and explore more of Scotland.
