Glorious Cheese - Friday 6th and Saturday 7th March 2009
After our success as winner of Best Cheese Board at the 2007 British Cheese Awards and building on the success of our first event in 2008, we are again offering a cheese master class from renowned cheese expert Juliet Harbutt. On Saturday Juliet will lead a cheese 'x factor' challenge - in teams learn how to judge a cheese yourself and then give a short presentation of a cheese selected for you by Juliet - followed by a sumptuous dinner prepared by Kevin and the team. The weekend starts from £230.00 per room per night inclusive of events, dinner, bed and breakfast.

Easter in Torridon
The Easter weekend is fast approaching. Traditionally a time for new beginnings, why not rest, refresh and renew here in Torridon over a long weekend? We have rooms available for a two or three night break from Good Friday and we will be offering a few extra treats alongside all that which you expect from us. There will be a wonderful afternoon tea available on Friday - luxury teas, freshly made chocolate cakes, simnel cake too - to welcome you on your arrival. Enjoy the first new season lamb, wonderful seafood, the first of our garden produce for the year as Kevin whips up some delights for dinner, Richard will be offering a fun and informal Easter egg hunt for everybody which guaranteed chocolatey treats too!

Torridon kitchen undergoes a transformation
During January this year, the kitchen at the hotel was completely redesigned and refurbished. On 2nd January Kevin and his team were extremely busy removing every single piece of equipment, pots, pans, plates - you name it, it came out! Then the next phase started and the workmen moved in, moving and building walls, recovering every inch of wall with a new cladding, installing a new ventilation system, new stoves, ovens, grills, hotplates, fridges...the list is endless!
With not a huge amount of time to spare, the team moved back in on 29th January to re-open on 30th. The whole room is now a more comfortable place to work, cooler, better designed with much more up to date equipment. Those guests who have stayed so far this year have given excellent feedback and we are hoping for even more accolades in 2009.
