Join the final Eurosparks debate in Brussels on 24 January where you will meet senior EU civil servants and Eurosparks partners from France, Germany, The Netherlands, Malta, Italy, Belgium and the UK.
Eurosparks: Straightening out the Judicial Tangle
Representatives from national governments, municipality associations and transport organisations; legal practitioners within European institutions, national and regional governments; and private practice and academic lawyers with an interest in cross-border judicial co-operation, are invited to the final Eurosparks seminar in Brussels on 24 January.
During the seminar Eurosparks research co-ordinator Professor Patrick Birkinshaw will present his team’s final recommendations to the European Commission for new legislation that they believe will improve compliance.
Their recommendations have been debated and endorsed by delegates attending Eurosparks seminars held in Rome, Berlin, The Hague, Valetta, Paris and London during the autumn. Highlights from each seminar will be presented in Brussels.
Dirk Sterckx MEP, member of the Transport & Tourism committee is chairing the seminar. Speakers include Baroness Sarah Ludford MEP, member of the Civil Liberties, Justice & Home Affairs committee, Luc Van den Brande, First Vice-president, EU Committee of the Regions and representatives from the European Commission and DG Justice.
Visit the SPARKS Programme website www.sparksproject.org for the full programme and to book places at the Brussels event, as well as for highlights of the earlier Eurosparks seminars.
